When the starter is pressed on the boat, a high current is sent from the battery to the starter. The collector, which is activated in the magnetic field with the incoming current, enables the gear that is connected to it to generate the rotation and movement of advancement. The rotational force created by the starter engages the starter gear and the flywheel gear connected to the crankshaft, making it rotate. The flywheel gear transmits the resulting rotational force to the crankshaft.
